Our Journey: From Kenya to SHINE Coffee Company

In 2010, my sister and I boarded a plane to return home from a mission trip to Africa. While our bodies landed in Atlanta, our hearts never left Kenya. For fourteen years, we contemplated how to marry the passion of our hearts with the mission of our minds. Today, we're thrilled to share that we've turned those dreams into reality with the birth of SHINE Coffee Company.

The Heart Behind SHINE

SHINE—which stands for Sowing Help Into Needs Every day—isn't just our company name; it's the very heartbeat behind our hope. We've seen firsthand how growing coffee beans is essential to the sustainability and livelihood of our friends in Kenya. That's why we've made it our mission to buy beans directly from local Kenyan farmers who are skilled at the craft of growing the finest coffee beans in the world.

Our Commitment to Quality and Care

Through our direct partnerships, we're able to offer premium coffee that you won't find in local grocery stores and markets. We believe in holding ourselves to the highest standards in fair trade practices, working closely with our partner farmers to bring you the world's highest quality arabica beans. But our commitment doesn't stop there.

Creating Lasting Impact

A portion of the proceeds from every bag of coffee you buy is invested in ministry through Project 82 Kenya's Tulee Mwana (Let's Raise A Child) ministry. We've witnessed the Lord connecting dots to provide full-circle support across the globe, and we're humbled to be part of this journey.

Simply put, we're using our resources to return love back to the farmers, missionaries, widows, and orphans by way of coffee. When we say "A better cup. A brighter story," we mean it. This isn't just our tagline—it's a lifeline for all who will benefit from these beans. Behind every cup of coffee lies an opportunity for us to sow help into needs every day.
